Meet the Trainer
Lisa has been riding horses since a very young age. While she has always been interested in the gaited horse, she began riding at the age of 8, where she got her start with hunter-jumpers. In college, she showed on her college Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team in Western Pleasure and was the team captain her senior year.
She is currently a graduate student working towards her Masters in Business Administration, and has earned two Bachelors of Art degrees in Equine Management and Equitation Instruction from Midway College. Lisa has many other accomplishments to her credit. She won the KMSHA Open Western Pleasure High Point Award in 2008 and 2009, and won the KMSHA Open 4-Gait High Point Award in 2009 on Xena's Dark Star. In 2011, she received 4th in the RMHA Geldings Trail Pleasure High Point with Charlie Joe Junior, and 2nd in the RMHA Ladies Trail Pleasure. In 2012, Lisa and Rising Wind won the UMH 4-Gait Reserve Grand Championship, only being beaten by Blue Note Jazz, our first foal. We were quite okay losing to our home bred boy! Frosty also won the 2012 UMH Western Reserve World Grand Championship. She was the Secretary of the UMH Ladies Auxiliary in 2012 and a member of the United Mountain Horse Assocation show committee in 2013.
Lisa and LS Kosmic Kiss were mounted stewards at the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event in 2014, and part of the American Sidesaddle Association at Breyerfest in 2015.
Meet the Working Student
Autumn has been a long term working student at Singlefoot Farms since the age of 11. She has an enormous drive and love for horses. We are extremely fortunate to have her.
Autumn has grown so much as a rider, it is fantastic to see her continue to develop.
