Lisa has been riding horses since a very young age. While she has always been interested in the gaited horse, she began riding at the age of 8, where she got her start with hunter-jumpers. Once in college, she diversified her riding and showed on Midway’s college Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team in Western Pleasure, and was the team co-captain her senior year.
She has earned two Bachelors of Art degrees in Equine Management and Equitation Instruction from Midway College.
The versatility of the Rocky Mountain has shown over the years, and she has worked to show that, including eventing her mare, LS Kosmic Kiss. They shifted the focus to dressage instead of jumping, as her mare was trained both the trot and the gait, which is a bit of a controversial decision but the mare offered both willingly. In July of 2017, Rain retired, and now Lisa is continuing her journey with a young Oldenburg gelding named Foreigner.
